What Is a Crypto Profit Calculator?
A Crypto Profit Calculator helps you estimate how much money you earned or lost from a cryptocurrency trade. It compares your total purchase cost with your final sale return while accounting for trading fees and additional transaction expenses.
Instead of calculating each amount manually, you can enter the buying price, selling price, number of coins, and exchange fees. The calculator then displays your net profit or loss, ROI percentage, break-even price, total fees, and profit per coin.
Profit and Loss
Instantly determine whether your cryptocurrency trade generated a net profit or resulted in a loss.
Accurate ROI
Measure the percentage return generated from the total amount spent on your cryptocurrency purchase.
Break-Even Price
Find the approximate selling price required to recover your investment after trading costs.
How to Use the Crypto Profit Calculator
Follow these four steps to estimate the performance of your crypto trade.
Enter the Buy Price
Add the price you paid for one unit of the cryptocurrency.
Enter the Sell Price
Add the price at which you sold or plan to sell each coin.
Add Quantity and Fees

How Crypto Profit Is Calculated
The calculator first determines your total purchase amount and adds the buying fee. It then calculates the gross selling value and subtracts the selling fee. Additional costs are also deducted before the final profit or loss is displayed.
Net Profit = Net Sale Return − Total Purchase Cost − Additional Costs
ROI = (Net Profit ÷ Total Investment) × 100
Example Crypto Profit Calculation
Suppose you purchase 0.5 Bitcoin at $30,000 per coin and later sell it at $42,000 per coin. Before fees, your purchase value is $15,000 and your gross sale value is $21,000. The calculator deducts the selected buy fee, sell fee, and additional costs to determine your actual net profit and investment return.
Why Trading Fees Matter
Crypto exchanges may charge fees when you buy, sell, deposit, or withdraw cryptocurrency. Blockchain networks can also charge transaction or gas fees. These costs reduce your final profit and can significantly affect smaller or frequent trades.
For a more realistic estimate, enter the exact fee percentages charged by your exchange. You can use the additional costs field for fixed network charges, withdrawal fees, or other expenses.
