What Does the Groww Brokerage Calculator Estimate?

Taxes and Regulatory Fees

View estimated STT, stamp duty, SEBI turnover fees, IPFT and GST instead of seeing only one combined total.

Net Trading Result

Compare the gross trade result with total charges to estimate your actual net profit, net loss and break-even movement.

What Is a Groww Brokerage Calculator?

A Groww brokerage calculator is an online trading cost estimator. It calculates the approximate charges associated with buying and selling shares through an equity trading account. These expenses can include brokerage, Securities Transaction Tax, exchange transaction charges, SEBI fees, stamp duty, GST and delivery DP charges.

Looking only at the difference between the buying and selling price can give an incomplete picture of a trade. Brokerage and statutory costs reduce profitable trades and increase the final cost of losing trades. This calculator deducts those estimated expenses to produce a clearer net result.

Equity Delivery Calculation

Delivery trading means purchased shares are held in the investor’s demat account beyond the trading day. Delivery transactions can attract STT on both the buy and sell values. A DP charge may also apply when shares are debited from the demat account during a sale.

Equity Intraday Calculation

An intraday position is generally opened and closed during the same trading session. Intraday STT is normally calculated on the sell side, while DP charges do not apply because shares are not delivered from the demat account.

Groww Brokerage Calculator FAQs

Find answers to common questions about brokerage calculations, taxes, DP costs and estimated trading results.

Groww’s published equity brokerage is calculated per executed order using ₹20 or 0.1% of the trade value, whichever is lower. A minimum brokerage condition can apply to smaller order values.
Yes. It estimates STT according to the selected equity segment. It also calculates GST on brokerage, exchange charges, SEBI charges, IPFT and applicable DP charges.
A Depository Participant charge can apply when shares are removed from a demat account during a delivery sale. It is generally charged per sell transaction rather than per share.
No. A normal intraday position does not involve delivery of shares from the demat account, so the calculator does not add a DP charge to intraday trades.
Brokerage can be charged for each separately executed order. Therefore, splitting the same trade value across several executed orders may produce a different brokerage total.
No. This is an independent educational estimation tool and is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by Groww. Always check the official pricing page and your contract note for exact charges.
Yes. Actual amounts can vary because of rounding, instrument type, order execution, exchange classification, revised rates, penalties and other transaction-specific factors.
