How do I calculate how many days until my birthday?

Does today count in the birthday countdown?

The result measures the difference between today's date and your birthday. Tomorrow is one day away, while a birthday occurring today is shown as zero days remaining.

What happens if my birthday is February 29?

You can choose whether the calculator should use February 28 or March 1 during a non-leap year. In leap years, it automatically uses February 29.

How does the calculator know the age I will turn?

It subtracts your birth year from the year of your next birthday. This is why entering the complete date, including the year, is important.

Why can the number of days between birthdays change?

A normal year has 365 days, while a leap year has 366. The position of February 29 within the countdown can therefore change the number of days between two birthdays.

Is my date of birth saved?

No. The calculation runs locally in your web browser, and this page does not submit your date of birth to a database.
